Volleyball Picks Up Third-Straight Victory

The Dragons (14-12, 8-7 G-MAC) tallied their third consecutive victory after completing the season sweep of Ohio Dominican with a 3-1 win.

The win propels Tiffin into second place in the G-MAC South Division with four matches to go as it enters November.

The first set consisted of big runs by both sides as the momentum shifted back-and-forth. The Dragons trailed 16-11 before going on a 9-1 run which all started with three-consecutive kills by Wakaya Wilson. ODU came back to tie the set at 20 but a 5-0 run by TU earned it the 1-0 lead.

Down 15-14 in the second set, a kill by Kenedi Goon tied the set and propelled Tiffin onto an 11-3 run to end the set and take a commanding 2-0 advantage.

The Panthers picked up their one and only set victory in the third set after the Dragons got off to a slow start and were unable to recover.

TU jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the fourth set but ODU was able to pull back to within two at 13-11. That is as close as it came, however, as the Dragons put the match to bed after scoring seven-straight.

Tiffin had an even spread of offensive contributors as Wilson led the way with 13 kills followed by Goon with eight and Alivia Rew, Taylor Peterson, and Addison Conti all with seven. Conti also added a team-high 23 assists.

Olivia Karhoff was all over the floor defensively as she racked up 22 digs, one shy of tying her season high. The Dragons racked up 19 total blocks as a team with Rew leading the way with eight total blocks followed by Goon with six.

TU now hits the road for back-to-back matches as it faces off with Lake Erie on Friday, November 3rd before taking on Ursuline the following day.
