Women's track competes at Flames Invite, Cumberlands, Akron

Tiffin University had some standout performances at the Flames Invitational at Lee University, Akron University, and the University of Cumberlands meets.

At Akron, Brook Boes hit two provisional marks, once in shot put with a 2nd-place mark of 14.43 and again in discus with another 2nd-place finish with 47.88. 

Other top finishers on day two at Akron included Brittany Devall (7th in shot put with 12.78) and Claudia Chirila (4th in discus with 44.57).

Rajiah Andrews was the lone winner at Lee, placing first in the 100 meters in 12.16.

Amirah Strauther crossed the line in second place in the 100 hurdles, posting a time of 14.55.

Tiffin's 4x100 relay team was third overall in 48.23. The team consisted of Strauther, Andrews, Chelsea Janis, and Sidney Richardson.

Lastly, Ines Macadam came in fourth in the 800 meters in 2:13.25.

At Cumberlands, Emily Curtice won the heptathlon with 4200 points, while Elliott Pennell was third with 3894 and C'airra Carter was 4th with 3833.

Morgan Foos was 3rd in the high jump with 1.50 meters followed by Alexis Ernsberger in 5th with 1.40, while Lily Hollibaugh was 4th in the pole vault with 3.40 meters.
