Andrews named G-MAC Indoor Track Athlete of Year

Rajiah Andrews has been named G-MAC Indoor Track Athlete of the Year, as the G-MAC announced its annual award winners.

Andrews had previously received the Women's Track Athlete of the Meet award for scoring 26 points at the G-MAC Championships. She won the 60-meter hurdles with a provisional mark of 8.56 and was first in the 60-meter dash with a provo mark of 7.43. She was also third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.77, hitting an NCAA DII Provisional mark. 

Andrews also earned Second Team All-American honors at the NCAA National Championships, placing 8th in the 60-meter prelims with a time of 7.47. She just missed Second Team All American with a finish of 14th in the 60-meter hurdles prelims with a time of 8.74. Andrews is now a six-time All-American, five times in indoor competition covering both events. 

This marks the second time that Andrews has been named G-MAC Track Athlete of the Year, having earned outdoor honors in 2022. She has been named Championship Athlete of the Meet three times.

The G-MAC also announced the All Conference teams as designated by their finish at the conference championships.

First Team selections for the women's squad included Emily Curtice (pentathlon), C'airra Carter (high jump), and Andrews (60 hurdles, 60 meters).

Second Team picks were Brook Boes (weight throw), while Third Team honorees were Carter (pentathlon) and Amirah Strauther (60 hurdles).
