Dragons make mark on first day of NCAA Championships

Ines Macadam advanced to the 800-meter finals as Tiffin University's three women's indoor track and field standouts competed at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Macadam placed 8th overall in the preliminaries, securing a spot in the finals on March 11. She posted a time of 2:11.46. Macadam has earned All-American honors in the 800 meters twice in both indoor and outdoor seasons.

Rajiah Andrews also earned Second Team All-American honors, placing 8th in the 60-meter prelims with a time of 7.47. She just missed Second Team All American with a finish of 14th in the 60-meter hurdles prelims with a time of 8.74. Andrews is now a six-time All-American, five times in indoor competition covering both events.

Brook Boes also finished with a place of 14th in the weight throw. She had a throw of 17.37 meters. Boes is a two-time All-American with both her honors coming in outdoor competition last spring in both weight throw and in shot put.

Besides Macadam, Boes will also be competing in the shot put on March 11.
