Women's Track and Field Third After Day One of G-MAC Championship

The Tiffin University women's track and field team sits third with 34 points after day one of the G-MAC Championships.

Emily Curtice received gold in the pentathlon with a score of 3397 points, hitting an NCAA DII Provisional mark and First Team All-Conference. She came in third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.44, seventh in the high jump with a leap of 1.50 meters, first in the shot put with a throw of 12.36 meters, second in the long jump with a leap of 5.40 meters, and sixth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:37.65.

Brook Boes was named Second Team All-Conference in the weight throw with a mark of 18.33 meters, hitting an NCAA DII Provisional mark.

Two Dragons qualified for the finals of the 60-meter hurdles. Rajiah Andrews came in first with a time of 8.70 and Amirah Strauther was third with a time of 8.85.

Rajiah Andrews came in second in the 60-meter dash prelims with a time of 7.54 and was fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.06.

C'airra Carter came in eighth in the long jump with a mark of 5.33 meters and teammate Deona Davis landed ninth with a mark of 5.32 meters.

The quartet of Ines Macadam, Sidney Richardson, Zaynah Tate, and Charlotte Campbell was fifth with a time of 12:17.44.
