Women’s Track and Field Compete in Day One of GMAC Championships

The Tiffin University women's track and field team is seventh after day one of the GMAC Indoor Championship meet with 12 points.

The duo of Amirah Strauther and Rajiah Andrews qualified for the finals of the 60 hurdles with Strauther posting a time of 8.98 and Andrews a time of 9.01.

Marisa Gwinner came in third in the long jump with an NCAA DII Provisional mark of 5.70 to earn six team points.

Andrews had the fastest time in the 60 meter dash prelims with an NCAA DII Provisional mark of 7.55 as well as the fourth-fastest time in the 200 meter dash prelims with a time of 25.61.

The quartet of Greta Macadam, Sidney Richardson, Allison Henegar, and Ines Macadam claimed third in the 4000 distance medley relay with a time of 12:12.19 to earn the team six points, setting a new Tiffin University record in the DMR.
