The Tiffin University women's soccer team dropped their sixth straight game on Sunday, falling 2-1 to the Lake Erie Storm.
The Dragons' offense showed great aggression in the 1st half, notching the 1st goal of the contest early in the half. Taylor Lewis took a pass from Alli McCabe and delivered a goal over the outstretched arm of the Lake Erie goalkeeper, giving Tiffin a 1-0 lead. The Storm knotted the score right before the end of the half, scoring off a free kick to tie the score 1-1.
The second half was back and forth throughout, but Lake Erie found the back of the net in the 65th minute, scoring off a corner kick to lead 2-1. Tiffin continued to pressure the Storm, but were unable to tie the score, falling 2-1.
The Dragons took a season high 24 shots, with 12 coming on goal. Samantha Ortenzi played a good game, making 9 saves, but falling to 1-7 on the season.
Tiffin will hit the road for their next game, traveling to Michigan to tangle with the Grand Valley State Lakers, the number one ranked team in the nation.
