Donathan named finalist for Division II Wrestler of Year

Zack Donathan has been named a finalist for NWCA National Division II Wrestler of the Year.

The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) announced the NCAA Division II Wrestler of the Year finalists for the 2022-23 season, as voted on by the coaches of NCAA Division II.

Donathan is the finalist from Super Region 3. The 141-pound junior posted a record of 14-1 en route to the NCAA Division II National Championship after taking the Super Region 3 championship as well. Donathan also earned the pins award at the NCAA Championship. 

Donathan also previously was named G-MAC Wrestler of the Year. He joins Garrett Gray (285) and Nick Mason (197) as national champs for Tiffin.

The NCAA Division II Wrestler of the Year will be announced in the coming weeks after a vote of the nation's coaches.
