The Tiffin University women's basketball team (8-20, 5-15 G-MAC) finished their 2022-23 campaign on a high with a 72-52 win over Ohio Dominican on Senior Day.
Before the start of the game, the Dragons honored its five-member senior class - Kennedy Haubert, Jae'onna Sutton, Jada Tate, Savanah Richards, and Kirsten Williams.
Ohio Dominican started the game with a 6-2 run, but Tiffin countered with a 6-0 run to take an 8-6 lead with 2:51 left in the quarter. The Panthers outscored TU 4-2 to lead 10-8 after the first quarter.
The Dragons caught fire in the second quarter as they dominated the opposition, outscoring ODU 26-6 and scoring 21 straight points to lead 34-16 by halftime.
The Dragons held a double-digit lead for the entire third quarter after a monster second quarter. ODU outscored Tiffin 18-16 in the third quarter, but the Dragons held a 50-34 lead going into the final frame.
Ohio Dominican made two threes to cut the lead down to 54-40, but TU responded with a 6-0 run to lead 60-40. The Panthers countered with an 8-3 run to bring the score to 63-48 with 3:55 left in the game. Tiffin had a dominant game and went on to seal the 72-52 win over Ohio Dominican.
Kirsten Williams led the Dragons with 16 points shooting 6-for-10 from the field, 4-for-7 from beyond the arc, and had seven rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block, Jada Tate tallied 15 points shooting 6-for-13 from the field with five rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block, and Presley Feltner scored ten points shooting 5-for-6 from the field, grabbed four rebounds, three assists, and one steal.
