Tiffin University (17-22, 9-9 G-MAC) fell in two close games at Cedarville 4-3 in 9 innings and 4-1.

Tiffin came from behind to force overtime and had the lead in extra innings but could not get the win. Down 2-1 in the seventh inning with two outs, Maddie Woods reached on an error at first base and Maci Head made the Yellow Jackets pay with a clutch double that sent the game to extra innings.

In the eighth with two outs, Katie Deardorff drilled a home run to left field that gave TU a 3-2 lead, but with two outs Cedarville got revenge, singling to tie the game 3-3 and head to the ninth inning.

After a triple in the bottom of the ninth, a throwing error by the catcher allowed Cedarville to score the winning run.

TU first got on the board in the third when Head and Tara Gall singled. Molly Koesters than singled to drive in a run.

Claire Feldkamp started and went 6 innings, allowing 4 hits and one earned run. Isabella St. Peter took the loss, closing the game out with 2 innings of work and allowing 4 hits and one earned run.

In the nightcap, Tiffin got a run in the first inning when Woods singled and stole second. Koesters then doubled to put TU up 1-0. 

Cedarville answered with two runs in the third and the fifth, while the Dragons managed only two runners in scoring position after the first inning.

St. Peter took the loss, going 3 innings and allowing 4 hits and one earned run. Feldkamp finished the final 3 innings, allowing 3 hits and 2 earned runs.

Koesters had 2 doubles in the game, while Aubrie Harper also had a double.
