Malachi Adams will compete in the 60-meter finals on March 11 as day one of the NCAA Indoor Championships concluded at Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Adams placed 7th in the 60 prelims with a time of 6.74.
He finished 10th overall in the 200-meter prelims with a time of 21.48, good for Second Team All-American honors. Adams was All-American in indoor last season, finishing second overall in the 60 meters. He now has two indoor All-American honors in separate events, and a finish tomorrow would guarantee him First Team honors in the 60 meters as well.
Jacob McPherson also competed in the weight throw and earned Second Team All-American honors with a 9th-place finish. He had a throw of 19.42 meters. McPherson is now a three-time All-American, twice indoor and once outdoor last season.
Besides Adams, McPherson will also be competing in the shot put on March 11 as will Collin Jasin in the pole vault.
