Matthew Telford has been named G-MAC Men's Tennis Athlete of the Month.

Telford teamed with Michael Gurtner to reach the semifinals of the Wayne State Doubles Tournament. They posted wins over Findlay 8-6 and Wayne State 9-7 before falling in their final match to Wayne State 9-8. In doubles play at the ITA Midwest Regional, Gurtner/Telford won their round of 16 match over Grand Valley State 8-4 but then fell in the quarterfinals to Ferris State 8-5. In singles play at the ITA Regional, Telford posted a win over Hillsdale 6-4, 6-1, then upset the 4th-seed from Drury in a tough three-set battle 6-1, 1-6, 10-8. He then fell in his Round of 16 match to Grand Valley State 2-6, 6-0, 10-6.
