Dragons prepare for tourney title clash with Storm

Tiffin University (13-2-3) will take on Lake Erie (11-5-4) in the G-MAC Tournament Championship at 12 pm at the Paradiso Athletic Complex Nov. 11.

The Dragons are looking to add to what has been a memorable season as they are already the regular season champion and top seed entering the tourney. They are also ranked 20th in the latest USC Division II poll and seeded third in the region.

Tiffin defeated the Storm in its sole battle this season 1-0 on Homecoming weekend. The Dragons got a goal early in that contest and made it stand up behind rock-solid defense, which has been a staple for the Dragons all season.

Tiffin's game has been highlighted by sensational defense this season, with the team allowing an average of just 3.3 shots on goal per game this year. This is second all-time for TU, which posted a 3.1 mark last season. According to available records dating back 22 seasons, only one other team has posted a sub-4.0 shots-on-goal average (2019, 3.6).

Tiffin is led by G-MAC Defensive Player of the Year Amara Kamara along with All-G-MAC defender Davide Frezzi, midfielder Kai Yamazaki, and Zach Garcia.
