Church named Coach of Year; Jordan, Rivers honored

Head Coach Tom Church, Wesley Jordan, and Joshua Rivers were all honored with the announcement of the 2022-23 G-MAC men's basketball All-Conference selections.

Church was named G-MAC Coach of the Year after guiding the Dragons to a 15-14 overall record, their first winning season since 2011-12. The team also posted a 12-8 conference record, the most conference wins in school history, and reached the conference playoffs for the first time in 21 seasons.

Also honored were Wesley Jordan as a First Team honoree and Joshua Rivers as a Second Team standout. Rivers was also named as an All-Defensive Team selection.

Jordan was Top 20 in the G-MAC in scoring and rebounding. He led the Dragons with 12.8 ppg and 5.0 rebounds. He also had a memorable season as he eclipsed 1000 points. He now stands at 1139 points over four seasons.

Rivers was fifth in the G-MAC in field goal percentage (.527) and 2nd in steals while also placing in the Top 20 in both scoring and rebounding. He also averaged 12.8 ppg along with 4.7 rebounds in his debut seaason with the Dragons.
