Dragons rise to 27th in latest AFCA poll

The move jumps the Dragons three spots from last week. Tiffin is the only G-MAC school ranked nationally and has been steadily climbing the polls after their 6-0 start. The Dragons most recently beat Hillsdale 35-21 to improve to 4-0 in the conference.

The Dragons also continue to factor high in the national statistical rankings. They rank in the Top 7 in 10 different categories. They lead the nation in three categories - kick return defense, turnover margin, and turnovers gained. They are also 2nd in the nation in total offense.

The team is also 3rd in offensive first downs, 4th in scoring offense and interceptions, 6th in rushing offense and defensive touchdowns, and 7th in fumbles recovered.  

Individually Ronald Blackman leads the nation in yards per carry and is 9th in overall rushing yards.

Kason Martin is ranked in three categories - points responsible for (8th), points responsible per game (8th), and passing touchdowns (9th).

Jesse Connell is also 7th in fumbles recovered, while Chucky Lewis is also 7th in interceptions per game.
