Tiffin University (2-1) will look to get back on the winning track with a road trip to Truman (2-1) at 3 pm EST Sept. 24.

Tiffin is 0-1 against the Bulldogs in its career, with last year's 38-35 loss the lone contest. This marks Tiffin's first trip to Kirksville, Missouri as last year's game was played at Frost Kalnow Stadium. 

- The Bulldogs traveled round trip over 2,600 miles but came away with wins over South Dakota School of Mines and Hillsdale (Mich.) College the past two weeks. In Saturday's win over the Chargers of Hillsdale, Truman shrugged off a slow start and rallied from a 13-0 halftime deficit to win 21-13.
- The Bulldogs were picked second in the GLVC Preseason Coaches poll behind perennial champion Indianapolis.
 

LAST TIME OUT

For 59 minutes and 34 seconds against Truman State on Sept. 25, 2021, Tiffin University never trailed and actually led by as many as 18 points. But it was the final 26 seconds that mattered most, as the Bulldogs closed out the game scoring 21 unanswered points to defeat 12th-ranked Tiffin 38-35 for its first loss of the season.

TRUMAN OFFENSE

- Nolan Hair is the field general for the Bulldogs on offense as he has led Truman to a 2-1 record this season. He has thrown for 563 yards with a 64.04 completion percentage and five touchdown passes. He is a dual threat as well and is second on the team in rushing as he has 33 rushes for 97 yards and one rushing touchdown.
- Shamar Griffith leads all rushers as he has rushed 46 times for 142 yards and two touchdowns, while teammate Jake Tuttle is third on the team in rushing with 17 attempts for 64 yards and one touchdown.
- Truman is deep at receiver as they have three receivers with more than 100 yards through three games. Leading the pack is Zach Zerwig who has 13 receptions for 126 yards and one touchdown, Tate Crane is second on the team with 11 catches for 121 yards and one touchdown, and Chris Kerr had recorded eight catches for 101 yards and two touchdowns.

 

TRUMAN DEFENSE

- Truman has the second-best defense in the conference, allowing only 17.7 points per game and allowing a total of 302.3 yards per game.
- Leading the defense is Isaiah Estes with 24 tackles and 1.0 sack for nine yards, Ben Thomas is second on the team with 21 tackles this year along with five pass breakups and two interceptions, and Ben Watson has recorded 20 tackles, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, two pass breakups, and two interceptions.
- Leading the defensive front is Ulysses Ross who has 16 tackles this season and 3.0 tackles for loss for eight yards, and teammate Robert Greco with 14 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, and one quarterback hurry.

 

TIFFIN OFFENSE

- The Dragons' offense has averaged 30 points per game through three games.
- TU is second in the conference in points per game, second in the conference in total yards at 1221 for an average of 407.0 yards per game, is first in the conference in rushing yards with 586, sixth in the conference in passing yards with 635 yards, and third in the conference in total touchdowns with 11.
- Christian Carter is 60-for-100 completing 60.0 percent of his passes for 635 yards, and has thrown for five passing touchdowns. Carter is second on the team in rushing as he has 25 rushes for 118 yards and four rushing touchdowns.
- Darius Pinnix leads all rushers as he rushed 47 times for 299 yards and two touchdowns, and teammate Justin Felder is third on the team in rushing as he has 26 attempts for 104 yards.  
- Anthony Lowe has been unstoppable as he has registered 25 catches for 252 yards and one touchdown. Jalen Thomas has also put up big numbers with 15 receptions for 183 yards and two touchdowns, and Josh Lewis rounds out the group with seven catches for 92 yards and two touchdowns.  

 

TIFFIN DEFENSE

- Tiffin's defense stays dominant as they are second in the conference in points allowed at 13.3 per game, third in the conference in total yards allowed at 308.7.0 yards per game, second in the GMAC in rushing defense only allowing 89.0 rushing yards per game, and fourth in the conference in pass defense allowing 219.7 passing yards per game.
- Sir Zion Dance leads the defense as he has 26 tackles this season, 1.5 sacks, 2.5 tackles for loss, and one block, followed by teammate Barry Brown who has 19 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble, one sack, and one pass breakup.
- Charlie Cleveland is back in the lineup and did not miss a beat as he registered four tackles, 0.5 sacks, 1 tackle for loss, and two quarterback hurries.
- Jermaine Wimpye is tied for first on the team in interceptions with Chucky Lewis with two. Lewis has 13 tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss, and two pass breakups, while Wimpye has 10 tackles and one pass breakup.
-         Montez Kelley leads the team in sacks with 3.5 this season. He also has 4.5 tackles for loss and one fumble recovery, and Latrell Robinson has 11 tackles this year, and one sack.
