Tiffin University and Heidelberg University will showcase its esports programs in the T-Town Throwdown Sept. 23 at 5 pm.

Both teams compete in the GLEC (Great Lakes Esports Conference), competing with each other yearly in League of Legends, Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, Valorant, Overwatch 2, and Rocket League. To mark the start of what is hoped will be an annual event, the two will compete on Sept. 23 at Tiffin's esports facility on Miami St. A food truck is also expected for the event.

"We are extremely excited to bring more attention to Esports within Tiffin by connecting our local colleges," said Tiffin Head Coach Brett Ybarra. "We will be competing against each other in multiple esports to showcase what our teams are capable of for this coming GLEC season, and invite anyone in the community to come watch live!"
