The Tiffin University Dragons (23-14, 18-12 GMAC) posted a 1-1 record against the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers (22-12, 19-7 GMAC).

Game One:

The Dragons got off to a quick start as Jake Shier singled to left, Danny Donnelly and Tim Orr walked to load the bases, and Kyle Vance singled to center field to score Donnelly and Shier to lead 2-0.

After the Dragons took a 2-0 lead neither team scored until the fifth inning when the Dragons added six runs to their lead. Shier started the inning with a single, followed by another single by Donnelly. After two strikeouts Vance singled to score Shier. Zach Campbell walked to load the bases then Thomas Auth hit a two RBI single to left field, forcing a new pitcher. The new pitcher faced Tiffin catcher Nich Green who hit a three-run bomb to give the Dragons an 8-0 lead heading into the bottom of the fifth.

The Panthers finally got on the board in the fifth as Chayka doubled with a runner on second.

Tiffin wasn't done scoring yet as they added three more runs to their lead in the ninth as Tommy Thamann singled up the middle, Griffin Stevens walked, then advanced the runners on a wild pitch to score Thamann. The next batter Nick Whetnall doubled to center field to score Stevens from second. Ricky Havrilla walked, putting runners on the corners, then a wild pitch allowed Whetnall to score to give the Dragons an 11-1 lead and the eventual win.

Nich Green led the offense for Tiffin, going 2-for-4 with a home run, scored one run, and tallied three RBI. Teammate Kyle Vance went 2-for-4 as well, scored one run, and had three RBI.

Tyler Wehrle got the win on the mound as he pitched 5.0 innings, allowed one run on two hits and struck out three.
