The Chargers held a 3-0 lead until the bottom of the eighth inning when TU scored seven runs. With Kyle Vance and Ricky Havrilla on first and second Thomas Auth pinch hit for Marino Pugnetti and hit a three-run homer to left field to tie the game at 3-3. That sparked the Dragons' offense as Jake Shier and Danny Donnelly singled, then Griffin Stevens singled to left field and advanced to second on an error by the left fielder that allowed Shier and Donnelly to score giving Tiffin their first lead of the game. With a runner on third Zach Campbell hit a sacrifice fly to left field to score Stevens. Vance doubled down the left field line to advance Nich Green to third and would score on a passed ball at the next at bat to give the Dragons a 7-3 lead.

Kyle Vance hit well for the Dragons as he went 3-for-3 and scored one run and teammate Thomas Auth came in as a pinch hitter, going 1-for-1 and  hitting a home run to score three runs.
