The Tiffin University baseball team lost both games in the doubleheader against conference opponent Walsh, falling 9-1 and 5-0.

The Cavaliers improve to 10-6 overall and 8-4 in the conference, while the Dragons fall to 10-4 overall and 5-3 in the conference.

Game 1:

Walsh started the scoring early in the second inning, scoring two runs. They added one run in the third and then rallied in the fourth, scoring six runs to lead 9-0.

The Dragons were able to score in the sixth, with Griffin Stevens on second after his double. Nich Green then singled to right field to score Stevens. Tiffin was unable to build on that and lost game one 9-1.

Nich Green went 2-for-3 with an RBI and Griffin Stevens went 1-for-3 scoring one run.

Tyler Wehrle took the loss, allowing 9 runs over 3.1 innings of work.

Game 2:

A low scoring affair as neither team was able to break the deadlock until the bottom of the fourth when the host scored two runs to lead 2-0.  Two innings later Walsh scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to lead 5-0.

The Dragons never got on the board as they had four total hits with two from Marino Pugnetti and one each from Griffin Stevens and Kyle Vance.

Gunnar Boehm pitched 5.0 innings, struck out six, and allowed two runs on six hits.
