Dragons 7th in nation in dual meet record

Tiffin University is ranked 7th nationally with an 8-2 dual meet record, as the first National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Dual Meet rankings of the season have been released.

King University sits atop the poll, with two-time defending NWCA Duals National Champion McKendree University ranked second. 

Simon Fraser comes in third behind King and McKendree. King owns a 1-0 record on the season, while McKendree and Simon Fraser have yet to wrestle a dual. North Central College is ranked fourth with a 9-0 dual record, while Colorado Mesa University rounds out the top five with a 4-0 mark. 

Augsburg College is 1-0 and ranked sixth, while Tiffin University’s 8-2 record has the Dragons ranked seventh. Presbyterian College and Gannon University are both 1-0 and ranked eighth and ninth, respectively. Schreiner  University rounds out the top 10 with a 4-2 record. 

The top eight will be seeded for the NWCA National Duals on January 6-7, with the other eight teams being drawn into the bracket.
