Tiffin University had its home opener against Indiana Tech and picked up its first dual win of the season, beating the Warriors 31-16.

The Dragons opened with four straight victories to take a 17-2 lead. Shanna Morris (101 pounds) picked up a 12-1 tech fall win to get things going, and was followed by Brooke Richards (109) with an 8-4 victory. 

Tiffin then got to wins via pins, with Sugey Ceja (116) getting a strong win in 2:05. Stephanie Mondragon (123) then kept the wins coming with a number win by fall in 2:47.

After Trinity Berry (130) lost by fall in 1:27, Eunique Davis (136) got the day's closest victory, a slim 4-3 decision. 

Tiffin's final two victories on the day came by pin. Taylor Hites (155) had a strong showing with a win by fall in 1:09, while Jessie Lee (191) had a physical match go her way with a pin in 3:53.

Nia Miranda (143) suffered a loss by fall in 1:15, while Morgan Davidson (170) also lost 10-1.
