Pair of Dragons compete at US Senior Nationals

Taylor Hites and Jessie Lee took on some tough competition at the US Senior Nationals in Fort Worth, Texas.

Hites (155 pounds) fell in two matches, losing by tech fall 10-0 to Titan Mercury before falling by fall in 4:10 to Colorado Mesa.

Jessie Lee (191 pounds) suffered two losses by fall, falling in 43 seconds to Army WCAP before losing in 3:27 to Titan Mercury.

The event is an important step during the Olympic year. The Road to State College and the Road to Tokyo goes first through Fort Worth during the 2019 U.S. Senior Nationals & Trials Qualifier. 

With the Olympic Trials being held April 4-5 in State College, Pennsylvania, the senior event schedule shifted for the Olympic year.

The top 5 finishers per weight category at this event in Men's Freestyle, Greco-Roman, and Women's Freestyle earn a spot in the 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials - Wrestling.
