The Tiffin University volleyball team (9-10, 4-5 GMAC) defeated GMAC opponent Malone 3-1.

The Dragons won 25-22, 25-23, 19-25, and 25-18.

The Pioneers held a slight 6-4 lead early. However, the Dragons went on a 7-3 run to lead 11-9. Malone chipped away at TU's lead and tied the set at 19-19, but Tiffin outscored the Pioneers 6-3 to win the first set 25-22.

In set two, Tiffin jumped out to a 7-3 lead, but Malone had a 4-0 run to take a 13-12 lead. Tiffin fought back, going on a 5-2 run to tie the set at 19-19. The Dragons outscored the Pioneers 6-4 to win the second set 25-23.

Malone fought hard to start set three, holding an 11-7 lead early. Tiffin countered with a 5-1 run, tying the set at 12-12. The Dragons increased their lead with a 4-1 run to bring the score to 16-14. The Pioneers went on an 11-3 run and won the third set 25-19.

In set four, the Dragons held an early 7-3 lead, but Malone followed that with a 4-0 run to tie the set. Tiffin went on a monstrous 9-0 run to lead 19-10. The Pioneers had a late surge going on a 4-0 run with match point, but Tiffin got the win at 25-18.

Kenedi Goon set a career high in kills with 19, a .233 hitting percentage, four digs, two service aces, and one block assist, and teammate Taylor Peterson also had 19 kills, with a .381 hitting percentage, two digs, and two block assists.

Clare Kwiatkowski broke a career high with 62 assists, one kill, four service aces, and 14 digs, and Josie Reinhart hit a career high with 18 kills, a .279 hitting percentage, one service ace, one block assist, and four digs.

Goon broke her career high in kills with 19, her previous record being 14 on Aug. 26, 2022, in a win against Wilmington. Clare Kwiatkowski set her career high of 62 kills, breaking her previous mark of 43 assists set on Sept. 17, 2022 against Wheeling, and Josie Reinhart set a career high with 18 kills. Her previous career high was 15 set on Sept. 17, 2022 against Wheeling.
