Hitting woes hurt Tiffin (5-10, 3-2 GMAC) throughout its road match with Ashland, as the Eagles beat TU 25-17, 25-12, 25-17.
Overall the Dragons hit -.024 for the night, while Ashland enjoyed a .222 attack percentage.
Ashland came out firing in the first set, hitting .310 while Tiffin hit just .021. A 10-3 run midway through the set put Ashland up by 10 points en route to a 1-0 lead.
The Eagles never let up in the second set, recording a .229 percentage while TU fell off to -.129. With the Dragons within two points at 11-9, the Eagles went on a 14-3 tear to put the second set away.
Tiffin put up a fight in the third set, staying close and knotting the score 13-13 midway through the set. But once again the Eagles rallied for a 12-4 run to close out the set and the match.
Rylie Roggow led the Dragons with 5 kills, while Taylor Peterson and Josie Reinhart followed with 4 kills each.
Loryn Huffman totaled 16 assists and 10 digs. Wakaya Wilson led TU with 14 digs
