Tiffin University went toe-to-toe with Hillsdale but came up short in the GMAC Championship, falling 3-1.

The final had a familiar feel to Dragons fans, as TU also fell to Hillsdale in 2019 in the GMAC Championship by the same score. Also similar to that match, the Dragons won the first set before dropping the next three. This year the scores were 22-25, 25-14, 25-15, 25-22.

The Dragons could not contain the powerhouse Hillsdale hitters, who hit .303 for the match while TU hit .159.

In the opening set, TU hit well, posting a .286 attack percentage. With the Chargers up 17-15, TU ripped off 8 consecutive points to take command of the set and go up 1-0.

Hillsdale then kicked it into overdrive, posting attack percentages over the next three sets of .324, .308, and .326.

In set two, Hillsdale came out building a 16-10 lead and then finished the set off with a 9-4 run.

In set three, with the score tied 7-7, the Chargers put together a 6 point run to give them some separation and then finished the set off by winning six of the final seven points.

In the final set, the Dragons fought hard, matching Hillsdale blow for blow. With TU trailing 23-22, a Dragons' attack error followed by a Hillsdale kill put the match and the championship away.

Grace Schreiber led the way with 10 kills, while Kyley Keene had 9 kills. Alicia Kessler (7), Olivia Karhoff (8), and Danielle Sargent (9) also posted solid hitting numbers. Loryn Huffman also totaled 41 assists.
