Volleyball Team Cruises Past Ohio Valley in 3-0 Sweep

The Tiffin University volleyball team cruised past Ohio Valley 3-0, winning 25-13, 25-16, and 25-19.

Everything went the Dragons way as they outhit the Scots in hitting percentage (.240-negative .022), kills (41-25), digs (73-69), and blocks (21-2). 

The Dragons improve to 6-2 overall and 6-2 in the conference while the Scots fall to 0-8 overall and 0-8 in the conference.  

In the first set, the Dragons jumped to a 15-5 lead and won the set 25-13 with a .364 hitting percentage and 15 kills.

A similar second set as Tiffin jumped out to a 15-6 lead, but the Fighting Scots countered with a 7-0 run bringing the score to 24-16 but a kill from Audrey Sonnenberg ended the second set 25-16. 

The third set was closer as the Dragons jumped out to a 14-8 lead. Ohio Valley fought back to come within three of Tiffin at 21-18. However, the Dragons outscored the Scots 4-1 in the final rallies to seal set three and the match at 25-19. 

Grace Schreiber led the team with 12.5 points with 11 kills and a .733 hitting percentage, three block assists, and one dig, and Zion Richardson scored 7.5 points with seven kills with a .292 hitting percentage, one block assist, and two digs. 

Sam Fallis recorded 17 digs, three assists, and one service ace and teammate Loryn Huffman registered 29 assists, 10 digs, four block assists, one solo block, and one service ace. 

Several Dragons saw action as Kira Baade, Madison Boothe, Isabella Giuffrida, Rachel Grumbach, Hannah Sigler, and Audrey Sonnenberg played in their first set of the season.
