Huffman Named First Team All-Region by the D2CCA

The Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) released the 2019 All-Midwest Region volleyball teams on Wednesday, and Tiffin's Jenna Huffman earned First Team honors following her exceptional senior season.

This is Huffman's second-straight selection and third overall to the the D2CCA All-Region squads, also earning a Second Team honor in 2018 and First Team recognition as a freshman in 2016.

Huffman finished 2019 atop the region in five individual categories, leading with 4.76 kills per set, 562 total kills, 5.34 points per set, 13.21 attacks per set, and 1,559 total attacks. With the NCAA Tournament yet to be played, she is also currently first in all of Division II in each of those categories except for total attacks, in which she is second in the country.

The regional honor adds to an already decorated final campaign for Huffman, who has been named First Team All-GMAC, First Team CoSIDA Academic All-District, and received the GMAC Player of the Week honor twice.

A total of 14 student-athletes from the three Midwest Region conferences (GMAC, GLIAC, and GLVC) were named to the two All-Region teams, with the Player of the Year nod going to Ferris State's Allyson Cappel, a four-time All-Region honoree. Of those 14 individuals, five were from the GMAC, four from the GLIAC, and five from the GLVC. Huffman was the only GMAC representative not from conference champion Hillsdale.

As a First Team All-Region honoree, Huffman is automatically entered into consideration for the D2CCA All-American teams, which will be released a week from today on Dec. 11.
