Trio of Dragons Named All-GMAC

INDIANAPOLIS - During tonight's championships banquet prior to the final four of the conference tournament, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC) released the 2019 All-GMAC Volleyball squads, with Tiffin's Jenna Huffman, Loryn Huffman, and Sam Fallis all making the cut.

With three honorees, the Dragons had the third-most number of players on the two teams, trailing just Hillsdale with six and Walsh with five.

Jenna Huffman received a First Team nod for Tiffin, making it a perfect four for four in the senior's career on making first team all conference squads, twice in the GLIAC and now twice in the GMAC. Loryn Huffman and Sam Fallis both earn their first all-conference recognitions, earning Second Team accolades.

In her senior campaign, Jenna Huffman has had her best season yet, as she is currently leading all of Division II with 4.75 kills per set, 522 total kills, 5.35 points per set, and 13.09 attacks per set. All four of those marks are in line to be new GMAC records. She also ranks third nationally with 1,440 total attacks. On Tiffin, Huffman is also first with a .262 hitting percentage, third with 23 aces, third with 2.93 digs per set, and second with 73 total blocks. She was named GMAC Offensive Player of the Week two times this year, bringing her two-year total in the GMAC to five player of the week honors.

Junior setter Loryn Huffman has excelled after taking over the setting duties full-time for the first time in her career this season. She currently leads the GMAC with 1,154 assists on the year, and ranks second with 10.49 assists per set. Those marks are also 23rd and 33rd in the nation, respectively. Huffman is also second on the Dragons with 25 aces, second with 3.24 digs per set, and fourth with 42 total blocks.

Sophomore Sam Fallis has enjoyed a breakout campaign in her second season in a Dragon uniform, anchoring the Tiffin back line in the libero role. Fallis enters the weekend second in the GMAC in both digs per set with 4.81 and total digs with 529. Shis is also ninth in the conference with 39 aces on the year. Fallis also earned GMAC Defensive Player of the Week honors during the final week of the regular season.

The Dragons are one of the four teams remaining in the GMAC Championships, as two-seed Tiffin takes on three-seed Walsh in the semifinals on Friday night. The winner moves on to the title match on Saturday against the winner of top-seed and host Hillsdale and four-seed Kentucky Wesleyan.
