Jenna Huffman named Academic All-District

GREENWOOD, Ind. - The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) released the 2019 Academic All-District Volleyball Teams on Thursday, and Tiffin volleyball's Jenna Huffman has earned honors on the NCAA Division II District 4 First Team.

District 4 includes all volleyball student-athletes from the GMAC, GLIAC, and GLVC conferences, with Huffman being one of just eight honorees selected from the region. A senior with a 3.88 GPA in Management, Huffman is also the only member of a GMAC school represented.

Athletically, Huffman has continued her exceptional career with a stellar senior season, currently ranking second in Division II with 4.61 kills per set and third nationally with 5.23 points per set. Both marks lead the GMAC by wide margins. Among Dragon teammates, she is also first in hitting percentage, second in aces, third in digs, first in solo blocks, second in block assists, and second in total blocks.

The 2019 Academic All-District Volleyball Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

First Team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. First- and second-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced December 9-12.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District teams are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada, and the full list from all divisions can be seen HERE.
