Dalton Graham

Former NCAA DII Track & Field Coach, All-American, and Lake Erie College / Adams State University Alum Dalton Graham enters his second season with the Tiffin University track and field staff in 2022-23. 

Graham helped coach Ines Macadam to two National Championship appearances in the 800 meters (indoor and outdoor) in 2022, with Macadam finishing 13th and 14th respectively. Graham helped coach the Dragons men's cross country squad to a 3rd-place finish at the GMAC Championships, their best finish ever in the Division II era. They had three All GMAC placers, with Anthony Nickerson and Nathaniel Ondracek landing First Team honors and Jaylen Lasseter Second Team. The women's squad also placed 6th at the GMAC Championships for their best Division II finish ever. Ines Macadam was another First Team honoree for the Dragons.

Graham comes to Tiffin after serving 2 years as the assistant cross country and track coach at Lake Erie College. Graham aimed his focus on recruitment and development in his 2 years with the Storm. He coached a true freshman to 5 school records ranging from 800m to 5,000m as well as the student-athlete of the year award for the entire athletic department. In year two, every distance runner ran personal bests in their respective events while also scoring in at least one conference meet as a group of true freshmen.
 
Prior to coaching, Graham first attended Lake Erie College to major in Sport Studies and minor in Coaching. There, he broke 7 school records ranging from the DMR to the 10,000m, finished with All-Conference honors in the GLIAC, and ran multiple provisional marks. 
 
After graduating from Lake Erie College, Graham pursued his Master's in Applied Sport Psychology at Adams State University while also running out the rest of his NCAA eligibility. With Adams State, Graham helped his team become the NCAA DII National Cross Country Champions in 2017. Later on, Graham would become an All-American in the indoor 5,000m (6th - 14:11) where he helped his team to a National Runner-Up finish in 2019. He holds personal bests of 8:16 for 3k, 14:09 for 5k, and 29:48 for 10k. Graham was a national qualifier every season eligible with Adams State University (4). 
 
Prior to college, Graham grew up in Gomer, Ohio and attended Columbus Grove High School.
