Tiffin Women Excel at Dragon Grand Prix

TIFFIN, Ohio - The Tiffin track & field women competed at the Dragon Grand Prix on Saturday, earning four provisional marks during the third home meet of the indoor season.

The Dragons next split up at the Findlay Classic and Kent State Open next weekend, and also look ahead to hosting the GMAC Indoor Championships from Feb. 28-29.

Provisional Qualifiers

  • Marisa Gwinner won the high jump with a provo mark of 1.72 meters, tied for the sixth-best in GMAC history
  • Mercedeez Francis was second in the high jump with a provo height of 1.69 meters
  • Nicole Berry won the shot put with a provisional qualifying distance of 14.98 meters, tied for the ninth-best mark in GMAC history
  • Brenda Johnson was third in the shot put with a provo mark of 14.56 meters

  • Women's Distance Medley Relay took first with a time of 13:08.49
  • Ines Macadam took third in the Mile with a time of 5:23.45
  • Courtney Brown was third in the 60m Hurdles with a time of 9.67 seconds
  • Jazilee Williams was second in the 60m Dash with a time of 8.00 seconds, Brittany Holbrook was third in 8.03 seconds
  • Alexya Peoples won the 200m with a time of 25.86 seconds
  • Miaisha Blair was second in the triple jump with a distance of 10.39 meters
  • Alaura Holycross was second in the weight throw with a toss of 16.23 meters
