Andrews, Williams Take GMAC Women's Weekly Honors

INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference released the Week 6 Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Monday, with Tiffin's Rajiah Andrews earning Track Athlete of the Week and Jazilee Williams receiving Field Athlete of the Week.

Andrews has dominated the short sprints in recent history, continuing to make her mark in the record books at the YSU Mid-Major Invite.

Andrews owns the top three spots in the 60-meter dash, all done this current indoor campaign, with the overall conference record.

She chalked up a No. 3 performance with a first-place finish and a time of 7.55 seconds in the 60-meter dash.

Andrews also crossed the line first in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.84 seconds.

Williams flourished in the multis, earning the third-most points in conference history at the YSU Mid-Major Invite.

Williams recorded 3,510 points to provisionally qualify for nationals while taking aim at the overall record currently held by former Ursuline star Janelle Perry at the NCAA Championships.

Williams finished second in the 60-meter hurdles, second in the high jump, second in the shot put, second in the long jump, and ninth in the 800-meter run. In most events, the only individual to beat her was an unattached athlete representing PUMA.

Williams was conference indoor runner-up in 2018-19 in the pentathlon only to teammate Kirsten Camp.
