Tiffin Women Earn Highest-Ever USTFCCCA Rating

NEW ORLEANS - The USTFCCCA has released the Week One Rating Index for Division II Women's Indoor Track & Field, and the Tiffin women have received the highest ranking in program history at No. 6 in Division II.

Grand Valley State tops the ratings and is followed by Lincoln (Mo.), Northwest Missouri, Minnesota State, and Indianapolis to complete the top five. The Dragons, having moved up 15 spots from a No. 21 preseason rankings, are the only G-MAC school in the top-25. Walsh and Hillsdale are the next-highest ranked conference foes, at No. 38 and No. 40, respectively.

Sophomore Marisa Gwinner is the top performer for Tiffin, having cleared 5' 9.25" in the high jump to put herself in a tie for the top mark of the season across DII. Brenda Johnson and Nicole Berry are also ranked No. 2 and No. 3 in the shot put.

Rajiah Andrews and Keyonna McGill are No. 5 and No. 10 in the 60m, while Andrews is also No. 13 in the 60m Hurdles. Mercedeez Francis is also No. 11 in the high jump and Shalbe Evans is No. 17 in the long jump.

The next competition for the women is this weekend at the Youngstown State Mid-Major Invite.
