Marisa Gwinner had a strong showing at the NCAA Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships held at Pittsburg, Kansas.

Gwinner finished third in the high jump, equaling the highest track and field finish ever for a Tiffin women's athlete. Her jump of 1.74 meters (5-8.5) set a new school record, and tied the third place finish of Ashley De Witt in the shot put in 2013. It is the highest place for a TU women's track athlete in six years, and the best women's high jump performance ever for TU.

Gwinner tied LaGae Brigance of TAMU-Kingsville for third place, while Yashira Rhymer-Stuart of Bellarmine won the event with a mark of 1.77. Vanisha Wilshire of Wingate was second.

Tiffin also had two competitors in the shot put. Nicole Berry placed 14th overall with a throw of 14.56 meters (47-9.25) while Brenda Johnson was 16th with 14.12 meters (46-4).

Adams State won the women's title, defeating Grand Valley State 87-64. The 5.5 points earned by Gwinner landed the Dragons in 31st place.
