Barrett, Conley lead Dragons' All GMAC picks

Emily Barrett was named GMAC Freshman of the Year while Head Coach Phil Conley was named Coach of the Year, as the GMAC announced its 2021-22 awards.

Overall six Dragons were honored, with Emily Young joining Barrett as a First Team selection. Anaelle Lepinay, Carina Avram, and Alessandra Maganuco were Second Team picks.

Barrett enjoyed a sensational debut season with TU, compiling a 17-6 singles mark playing mostly at the top two singles spots. She also had a 14-7 doubles mark.

Conley had another banner year in 2021-22, earning a share of the regular season GMAC title while also posting the best record in the conference at 19-4. This marks his 7th Coach of the Year honor, 5th with the women's program. He was previously named 2021 Women's GMAC Coach of the Year, 2019 Men's GMAC Coach of the Year, 2017 Men's and Women's GLIAC Coach of the Year as well as Wilson/ITA Women's Coach of the Year, and 2013 Women's GLIAC Coach of the Year. 

Young had a strong freshman season, finishing 11-4 largely at third singles while also posting a 6-0 doubles mark. 

Lepinay had the best record on the team, also in her freshman season. She was 19-4 in singles and a sensational 24-3 in doubles play.

Avram, a freshman, finished with a 11-10 singles mark playing in the top two singles positions. She also had a 10-7 doubles mark.

Maganuco, a grad student, earned her second All GMAC honor with a 14-1 singles mark and massive 22-3 doubles record.
