Tiffin Bounces Back with 6-1 Win over Coker

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - After a seven-game win streak to start the season, Tiffin women's tennis had dropped their last three contests, but the Dragons came back on Tuesday with a 6-1 win over Coker University.

Tiffin swept the doubles matches, starting at No. 1 with Lauren Prince/Juliette Sirgant taking a 6-2 victory, followed by Emily Sim/Courtney Fyvie with a 6-4 win at No. 2 and Dominique Matich-Reynolds/Shea Foster with a 6-4 win at No. 3.

There were a number of tight singles matches, but Tiffin emerged victories in five of six. Emily Sim took a 6-3, 6-7, 10-7 win at No. 1 followed by Juliette Sirgant with an easy 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2.

Courtney Fyvie continued the streak with a 6-3, 7-6 win at No. 3. Shea Foster had a great come-from-behind win at No. 4, dropping the first set 2-6 but coming back to win set two 6-2 and the tiebreaker 10-3. 

Matich-Reynolds earned the final win for Tiffin, taking an 8-2 win at No. 6 singles.

Tiffin improves to 8-3 on the year, and will now take on Mt. St. Mary's tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m.
