Dragons Suffer First Loss of the Season against Ferris State

LEXINGTON, Ohio - Tiffin women's tennis suffered their first loss of the year on Sunday morning by a close 4-3 score to Ferris State.

The Dragons will now head into their Spring Break trip in Hilton Head, S.C. next weekend with a 7-1 overall record.

Tiffin got off to a good start in the match, earning the doubles point after the pairings of Lauren Prince/Juliette Sirgant (6-2) and Abbie-Jade Riley/Courtney Fyvie (6-3) earned wins at No. 1 and No. 3, respectively.

However, Ferris State came out strong in singles, taking four of six to earn the win. Anais Geslin and Courtney Fyvie recorded the two victories for Tiffin, with Geslin taking an easy 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 2 and Fyvie rallying for a 6-7, 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 5.

As mentioned, the Dragons now look ahead to five matches in South Carolina, starting a week from today with Florida Southern on March 1 at 2:30 p.m.
