DePrey leads Dragons on day one of GMAC/MEC Swimming Championships

Lydia DePrey led Tiffin University on day one of the GMAC/MEC Swim and Dive Championships, winning the 3 meter dive.

Overall Tiffin was 8th of 13 teams, with Hillsdale leading the tourney with 380 points. Findlay was second with 343, while Tiffin totaled 83 points after the first day.

DePrey was the champion in the 3 meter dive with a total of 219.30. She also teamed with Madalyn Stierwalt, Elizabeth Siegwardt, and Kory Ulrich in the 200 medley relay, finishing 12th in a time of 2:09.78.

Leah Mathy also had a 12th place finish, this time in the 1000 freestyle in 10:57.74, while Katie Tiell was 25th in the same race in 11:24.20.

Tiffin's other placer on day one was Alaina Wittum, who was 19th in the 50 freestyle in 25.35.
