Gorton hits provisional mark on day three of GLIAC Championships

Tiffin University's Catie Gorton had the highlight of day three at the GLIAC Championships, finishing second in the 200 butterfly.

Gorton's mark earned her Second Team All GLIAC honors, as she hit a NCAA B cut of 2:04.88 in the highest finish yet for a women's swimming and diving competitor. Anastasiia Kvitchenko also finished 8th in the race in 2:09.96.

In other action, Jan Suchan finished 4th overall in the 100 backstroke, just missing all conference honors. Jonah Sumfleth was 9th in the same event.

Yun Hung Tan was 7th in the 200 butterfly in 1:52.80, while Nikolai De Robles was 8th in the 500 free style in 4:41.29. Matthew Laporte was 15th in the 500, while the men's 800 free relay team finished 6th.
