Dean Joseph has been named Head Women's Soccer Coach at Tiffin University.

Joseph, a 2007 Tiffin University Hall of Fame Inductee, returns to Tiffin after achieving much success coaching at both the intercollegiate and high school levels. He most recently coached the Northwest Rankin Cougars Girls' Soccer program, where he a State championship while also posting a State runner-up finish. He also won four District titles there and was ranked nationally in the Top 10 for two seasons. He won the 2017 6A MHSAA Championship and was also named the Clarion Ledger 6A Coach of the Year. 

Joseph has been a youth, high school and college coach for over 30 years. He spent two years as the Director of Coaching for the Greater Toledo Futbol Club and another two years with the Jackson Futbol Club.

Before coming to Northwest Rankin, he split ten years as the head coach of programs at Mississippi Valley State University and Jackson State University. While there he was a three-time College Conference Coach of the Year and a five-time conference finalist. He made three NCAA Division I tournament appearances while also winning three conference championships.

It is really a special place at Tiffin University and we get to bring back one of our own to lead an amazing group of student athletes. "This was always my dream job," said Joseph. "I had an incredible experience here as a student-athlete. It is a place that is so close to my heart and when I interviewed everything felt so right. I want to thank Lonny Allen for having the faith in me to lead this program. I also want to thank Senior Women's Administrator Kelly Daniel and the rest of the committee for taking the time to talk to me. Their passion for what they do every day and their commitment to this university reinforced what a great institution this is. I cannot wait to get started on this exciting journey with these young ladies so we can build a legacy in the classroom, in the community, and on the field."
 
Joseph is a graduate of Tiffin University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Sports Management and Marketing. He also earned his Alternate Route Teaching License from William Carey. 

As a player, Joseph played for the Natal Provincial Senior team in his native country of South Africa. He finished his Dragons career fifth in career scoring, while also earning All American, All Region, and All District honors. Joseph, who also played at William Carey University, played professionally for the African Wanderers, Manning Rangers, and Stella Futbol Club.
