Tiffin University's Elijah Hunter was the sole placer at the Storm Open hosted by Lake Erie College, finishing fourth.

Hunter (141 pounds) reached the semifinals with wins over Gannon 11-2 and Edinboro 7-4. He then lost to Casey Swiderski 8-5 but bounced back to reach the third-place match with a 8-1 win over Fairmont State. He then fell in his final match 6-5 to Michigan State.

Also getting wins at the Storm Open were Caden Crawford at 125 pounds (8-4 over Michigan State), Joshua Lyons at 141 (12-8 over Seton Hill, 18-8 over Fairmont State, pin over Lake Erie in 5:37), Casey Barnett at 157 (pin over Gannon 3:18), Geraldo Moya at 197 (pin over Notre Dame 1:56), and Dylan McCandless at 197 (pin over Seton Hill 2:36).
