Five Tiffin University men's wrestlers have been named NWCA Scholar All Americans.

David Henson, Bryan LaVearn, Samuel Lofaso, Brandon Mendoza, and Nicholas Smythe all landed the honor.

LaVearn (Criminal Justice) is a four-time NWCA honoree, while Henson (Management) and Smythe (Accounting and Finance) have twice been honored. This is a first-time distinction for Lofaso (Chemistry) and Mendoza (Health, Fitness, and Wellness).

In total, 345 student-athletes representing 46 institutions were honored individually. Amongst GMAC schools, Tiffin had five of a total of 32 honorees.

In order for a student-athlete to be nominated to the Division II Scholar All-American Team, he must have a minimum 3.4 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale, with that benchmark at 3.25 for those who qualified for the 2020 NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships. Due to the impact of COVID-19 on the season, the dates of competition stipulation was removed from this year's qualifications.
