Tiffin University went 2-1 at the Greyhound Duals, posting wins over Central Missouri and Davenport before dropping a narrow decision to Indianapolis.

Tiffin defeated Central Missouri 34-15 before beating Davenport by a nearly identical score of 33-15. The Dragons then fell to the Greyhounds 21-16.

Against CMU, the Dragons used strong middle weight class victories to pull away, posting five straight wins to put the match away.

Trailing 9-0, Christopher Donathan got TU on the board with a win at 149 by fall in 6:59. Trey Grine (157) then followed with a tech fall victory 18-3 before Bryan LaVearn (165) posted a 9-2 win to put TU up 14-9.

Hayden Bronne (174) added to his national falls lead with a powerful pin in just 21 seconds, and Richard Screptock (184) made it five in a row with a 16-0 shutout.

David Henson (285) also got a hardfought 4-2 win in sudden victory, while Nathaniel Stubblefield (125) also got a forfeit victory.

Tiffin followed a similar formula in its win over Davenport, using six straight wins in the middle weight classes to put the match away.

Trailing 9-0, Dylan Mansor (141) got TU its first points with a 7-0 shutout. Donathan then recorded a fall in 1:02 followed by Grine's powerhouse 28-10 tech fall victory. LaVearn posted a 12-3 major decision, while Bronne added another pin in 2:31. Screptock added a forfeit win, while Henson got TU's final points with a narrow 5-1 victory.

Against the Greyhounds, TU dug too big a hole to climb out of, opening down 12-0 on the scoreboard.

Donathan won by DQ followed by Grine's 12-5 victory to pull TU to within 12-9, but LaVearn suffered a 10-4 setback that kept Indy in front 15-9.

Bronne's major decision of 14-3 got TU back to a 15-13 deficit. But a pair of slim 4-1 setbacks (Screptock at 184, Nicolas Smythe at 197) put the match out of reach for TU. Henson finished with a 3-1 win to make the final score Indy 21, TU 16.
