Tiffin University had no problems on day one of the GMAC Duals, blasting past Ohio Valley 54-6 and Kentucky Wesleyan 50-0.

Tiffin benefited by receiving 9 wins by forfeit over the two matches, including six against Ohio Valley. 

All of Tiffin's wins on the mat came via fall, as Trey Grine (157) got a win in 2:21, Hayden Bronne (174) posted a fall victory in 5:35, and Richard Screptock (184) got the fastest pin against Ohio Valley in just 1:17.

Picking up forfeit wins were Nathaniel Stubblefield (125), Dylan Mansor (141), Hunter Langeloh (149), Bryan LaVearn (165), Nicholas Smythe (197) and David Henson (285).

Tiffin continued the dominance against the Panthers, shutting out KWC and allowing a total of 8 points over 10 matches.

Stubblefield won the day's closest match to open things up 3-2, followed by Rico Puente's major decision 14-4 at 133 pounds. Mansor and Grine both won by big tech fall scores of 16-0, while Langeloh got a pin in just 58 seconds.

Bronne topped that mark with a pin in just 36 ticks, while Henson also got a 8-2 victory at heavyweight. Getting forfeit wins were LaVearn, Screptock, and Smythe.

TU now takes on Findlay at 10 am on Jan. 24, followed by Alderson-Broaddus at 12 pm and Lake Erie at 2 pm.
