Tiffin University (0-2) could not come back from a first-half barrage, falling to Mercyhurst 18-5.

Tiffin's Daniela Carey scored the team's opening goal off a pass from Rylee Sutherland to tie the score 1-1 early, but Mercyhurst quickly responded with six unanswered goals before the end of the first quarter to lead 7-1.

They equaled the feat in the second quarter, posting another 7-1 scoring margin to hold a commanding 14-2 lead at halftime.

Mercyhurst put together a heavy offensive attack, outshooting TU 40-12. They also forced 20 TU turnovers, with 15 caused turnovers.

Gabby Wilson had two goals along with 5 ground balls and 9 draw controls, while Carey finished with two goals. Sutherland and Caylin Kunze added assists.

Jenay Rennie took the loss in goal, making 9 saves over 60 minutes.
