Dragons blast past Arrows 19-4

Tiffin University (5-7, 4-1 GMAC) had little trouble blasting past Ursuline, outpacing the Arrows 19-4.

TU raced out to a 10-0 lead in the game and did not allow a goal until 34 seconds were left in the first half. TU held the Arrows to 0-for-5 on free position shots while going 4-for-4 themselves in the half. 

TU opened with 5 goals in the first 10 minutes, with Rylee Sutherland getting two goals and Daniela Carey two assists. 

TU then using the clock, tallying 5 more goals over the next 20 minutes. Carey added two goals, while Elle Hamilton also scored her second goal before halftime.

TU continued the assault at the outset of the second half, scoring 4 more goals in 9 minutes. Carey added two more goals during that stretch.

Overall TU outshot Ursuline 30-16, including 12-5 in the second half. The defense forced 12 turnovers while the Dragons committed only 5. The defense tightened up even more in the second half, allowing just 4 total shots on goal in the half. 

Carey finished with 4 goals and 2 assists for 6 points, while Hamilton also had 5 goals, 8 draw controls, 3 caused turnovers, and 4 ground balls. Danielle Roberts had 2 goals and 2 assists, Sutherland had 2 goals and an assist, and Jenny Bates and Leah Davis also had 2 goals each. Tonesty Burt and Isabella Piccione also had lone goals.

Jenay Rennis started in goal, making 7 saves in 30 minutes and allowing just 1 goal. Maeve Gatenbee finished up in goal, making 1 save.
