Tiffin University held a five-stroke lead after day one of the Saginaw Valley Spring Invitational.

The Dragons got off to a strong start in the 17-team field, posting a 312 score to lead the pack. Wayne State was close behind with 317 while Saginaw Valley State had 318.

Bella Harris was leading the field with a 74 score, while Alexis Savage was 5th overall with 76.

Alice Putoud had 79, while Emily Koehler (83) and Jordan Van Meter (84) rounded out Tiffin's field. 

Amanda Johansson also golfed as an individual, shooting 81.
