Haley Horstman

Haley Horstman is entering her second season as assistant coach in 2022-23. She recently finished her first year as assistant Coach for Tiffin University women’s basketball program. Prior to this year, Horstman spent the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons as the graduate assistant coach for Bluffton University where she graduated this May 2021, with her MBA focused in Leadership. Over her two years at Bluffton she helped coach the Beavers to a 28-19 record. While there, she was an integral part of recruiting, game-planning, and opponent scouting. She helped plan and administer team and individual strength and conditioning and basketball workouts as well as skill development sessions. During her time with Bluffton, four players were selected to receive HCAC All-Conference Team awards.

Before Horstman’s coaching debut at Bluffton, she was a four year starter and captain for the University of Findlay. She was part of a 20+ win season her senior year, making a run to the GMAC tournament Championship game and qualifying for the NCAA DII Tournament. Earning herself All-Conference awards as well as collecting 1,000+ career points, Horstman graduated in 2018 with her Bachelor’s in Sports Business and Marketing finishing with a cumulative GPA of 3.6 and earning herself GLIAC Academic Excellence Awards.

Horstman, from New Knoxville, Ohio, graduated from New Knoxville High School finishing academically with a 3.5 GPA. She was a 3 sport varsity athlete all 4 years, competing in basketball, volleyball, and track. She is New Knoxville’s all-time leading scorer, a 4 time MAC First Team award winner, and 3-time team MAC POY award winner.
