The Tiffin University women's basketball team fell 67-66 to Saginaw Valley State in their season finale. The Cardinals took advantage of the paint, scoring 40 of their 67 points in the low post.

The Cardinals were able to hold a narrow 16-15 lead on Tiffin after a quarter of play. The Dragons connected on 40% of their field goal attempts in the quarter while the Cardinals hit 38.5% of their attempts.

The Cardinals outscored Tiffin 17-10 in the 2nd quarter to hold a 33-25 lead at halftime.

The Dragons made up ground in the 3rd quarter, outscoring the Cardinals 20-17. The Dragons used the combination of three pointers and free throws to trail 50-45 after three quarters of play.

With one quarter left in the season the Dragons had some work to do on the offensive end of the floor. Tiffin kept their foot on the gas and eventually closed the gap on the Cardinals, tying the score three different times in the final quarter. After a made free throw gave the Cardinals a one point lead at 67-66, Tiffin had nine seconds to see if they could hit a winner. The Dragons hopes of a win struck iron as Aida Santana Martin's three point attempt didn't find the mark.

Kiley May, Tiffin's lone senior, led the way on the offensive end with 17 points on 5 of 11 shooting from the floor. Madison Jackson and Sarah Cummings both added 11 points, and Ali Schirmer logged 10 points for the Dragons.

Tiffin finishes 9-19 overall and 5-15 in the GLIAC.
